Here at the Paw Paw Veterinary Clinic we are excited to be able to provide veterinary care for your exotic reptile and amphibian pets. Dr. Stefan Baker and Dr. Kimberly Cook are both active members of the Association of Reptile and Amphibian Veterinarians (ARAV). Dr. Cook has years of zoo medicine experience and has had the opportunity to work with many different kinds of animals, including reptiles and amphibians. Dr. Baker has a special interest in reptile & amphibian medicine both domestic and wildlife.
We provide care for any non-venomous reptile or amphibian species including (but not limited to):
- Lizards such as Bearded Dragons, Leopard Geckos, Crested Geckos, Chameleons, Iguanas, Water Dragons, Monitors, Tegus, and Skinks
- Snakes such as Ball Pythons, Corn Snakes, Hognose, Colubrids, Pythons, and Boas
- Turtles and tortoises such as Sulcatas, Russian Tortoise, Herman's, Red-eared Sliders, and Box turtles
- Small crocodilians, alligator, and caimans
- Amphibians such as axolotls, salamanders, toads, and frogs
Services that we are able to provide:
- Physical examination
- Husbandry review & discussion
- Beak & nail trims
- Diagnostics including fecal testing, cytology, bloodwork, radiographs, ultrasound
- General medicine
- General surgery
Husbandry review and discussion includes housing, enclosure, aquarium water testing, substrates, heating, lighting, UVB testing, humidity, supplementation and diet tailored to the needs of each pet.
Routine, urgent care, and emergency services are available during regular business hours.
